Interactive TV Spot
To promote ‘More is Less’ off their album We Are Square, C-Mon & Kypski let the fans do the work while also achieving one frame of fame: http://oneframeoffame.com/ The site Create Digital Motion has some more details about this.
While this is a great idea, and a lot of fun, it misses the mark a bit because (as far as I can tell) the song doesn’t match the concept. It’s not a song about how the band is everybody, or how we’re all interconnected, or how we can be like our favorite stars, or anything similar.
However, a brand could easily find a matching theme, and this could be a great way for people to become part of an ad campaign.
Imagine setting up the backend, promoting the hell out of the idea with links on all the big social networks, pay the lawyers to write whatever releases they need (and the censors to review every frame to make sure there’s nothing illegal), and your :30 commercial could be an ever-evolving interactive masterpiece.
Once it gets some legs, that brand could partner with a TV show and advertise when it will air, so people may tune in to watch “America’s Got Useless Talent” or “Big Bother” just to see their commercial (maybe helping strike a great price).
Like this idea?
It’s yours.
I’ll make more.
